Director Health Services Kashmir Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Rather on Friday said that there was a spike in Covid-19 cases due to marriage ceremonies and gatherings. He said that the authorities in the region dealt with the two waves of Covid-19 efficiently and were ready to deal with the possible third wave. “Whatever the government is supposed to do, has been doing. There was no shortage of oxygen, beds and medicines during the first and second wave of Covid19,” Rather claimed and requested people to adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SoP) to contain the spread of the virus.
