NC leaders ‘double speak’ on rallies in Kashmir

While National Conference vice president and former chief minister of J-K Omar Abdullah on Thursday claimed that ongoing conventions of National Conference were not linked with polls, he was however countered by his own party leader Muhammad Akbar Lone who stated that party rallies were acutually electon campaign.

As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Omar while taking to media persons here at Bandipora on the sidelines of party rally, said that the ongoing convention doesn’t aim at preparations of upcoming assembly elections but it’s “our routine affair to interact with our workers and make our party strong at grass root level.”

On the other hand, NC MP and senior party leader Muhammad Akbar Lone said that rallies being conducted by the NC was actually an election campain. “It is an election campaign indeed,” he told reporters—(KNO)
