As a token of appreciation for their services to the Department, Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh Monday sanctioned retirement gift of rupees over 1.4 Crore in favour of one hundred and thirty nine (139) cops of J-K police who are retiring from services on 31st of May 2021 after attaining superannuation or voluntary retirement.

“Sanction has been issued vide PHQ J-K order NO.1662 in favour of Three gazetted officers, ninety-seven non gazetted, twenty-seven lower subordinates, eleven followers and one Tehvildar. The personnel belong to different units and wings of the department,” a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said.

It said that a retirement gift of Rs 75,000 each is sanctioned to police personnel from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund at the time of his/her retirement. The gift serves as a token of appreciation for his/her services rendered to the department.

As a gesture of welfare, Police Headquarter (PHQ) has sanctioned over Rs 6.16 Crore retirement gift in favour of 821 police personnel this year so far.
