Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday said that they arrested a female fraudster in the Chogal area of Handwara in north kashmir’s Kupwara district, police said Tuesday.

An police official told a local news agency, Kashmir News Service (KNS), that a complaint was received by Police Post Chogal wherein the complainant had stated that a person named Fahmeeda Begum, W/o Nisar Ahmad Mir, R/o Yunsoo had taken money from the complainant and instead provided a fabricated order of appointment as SPO, thereby defrauding the complainant.

“Based on this, FIR No.199/22 U/s 420 ,468-IPC was registered at Police Station Handwara, and investigation was initiated,” the official said.

He further said that the accused has been arrested. Further investigation is underway. (KNS)
