The Taliban named Malalaya Faizi to head an Afghan hospital for the first time since Afghanistan was taken over, reported Sputnik News Agency.
The international community has expressed concern about the country’s rights in Afghanistan since the Taliban took power in August 2021.
According to Tolo News, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights said in a recent letter that the Taliban is threatening to permanently erase women and girls from public life.
The Islamic Emirate continues to break away from civilian life in Afghanistan, including in structures and programs that had been established to support and protect those women and girls who are most vulnerable, according to experts.
