Despite the passing of several years authorities are yet to allot stalls made for street vendors at Magarmal Bagh. Authorities in Srinagar constructed these stalls to rehabilitate street vendors and subsequently decongest roadsides in the city. Street vendors said the stalls are meant to shift vendors who put their carts between Jahangir Chowk and Amira Kadal. Srinagar Municipal Corporation Commissioner was not available for comments regarding delay in allotment and other demands of the vendors.
