The Power development Department (PDD) has asked the telecom and cable operators to execute the agreement with regard to the rental charges of poles utilized by them for laying of cable within five days’ time.

The department has stated that connection of the telecom and cable operators will be disconnected in case they fail to execute the agreement.

An order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), has been issued by the Executive Engineer Electric Division-IV Khanyar in reference of the meeting with Managing Director KPDCL on 14-09-2021 regarding execution of agreements with the telecom operator and cable operators for rental charges of poles.

“As already instructed you are hereby directed to execute the agreement as per the Govt order No 193 PDD 2019 Dated 23.10.2019 with the telecom operator/ cable operators for rental charges of poles utilized by them for laying of cable within five days’ time. In case, any of the telecom operator/cable operator fails to execute the agreement within the above mentioned time frame their connection may be immediately disconnected,” the order reads.

The action taken report in this regard be submitted to this office on the enclosed format on daily basis with latest status, the order added—(KNO)
