The administration of Kashmir division has asked all colleges of the region to submit the status of vaccination of teaching and non-teaching staff as well as students amid preparation for reopening of the higher education institutions.
The Divisional Control Room for COVID Mitigation Operations asked the colleges to submit the details of vaccination status in a pre-set format.
“I am directed to request you to share with this office the vaccination status of teaching and non- teaching staff and students in colleges of Kashmir Division,” Tahir Ahmad Magray, the in-charge of the Divisional Control Room, said in the order.
The format to be followed includes the total number of teaching and non-teaching staff, number of teaching and non-teaching staff given one dose, number of teaching and non-teaching staff given
two doses, total number of students enrolled, number of students given one dose and the number of students given two doses.
The Jammu and Kashmir administration recently announced to reopen the colleges and universities to reopen for offline classes provided that all students and staff are vaccinated.
The decision by the authorities to reopen higher educational institutions in Jammu and Kashmir comes nearly four months after they had briefly reopened in March, when the first wave of COVID19 had significantly reduced.
The educational institutes, however, were again shut within weeks in the last week of March when the second wave of COVID19 emerged in the region.
