Women are being celebrated today across the globe as 8 March is observed as International Women’s Day. The day has been celebrated for over a century now. Today, women are celebrated for their political, economic, social, and cultural achievements.

This year, the theme for International Women’s Day is “Choose To Challenge” as “change comes from a challenge”. The day is celebrated globally, highlighting the role of women in society – their struggles, and achievements.

As part of the International Women’s Day, The Kashmir Walla documents the year of continued struggle, resilience, and hope of Kashmiri women who had to endure another round of difficult times.
