All Parties Hurriyat Conference has condemned and strongly protested the ‘dismissal spree being undertaken by the J-K government of its employees , in this most dictatorial manner.’

The Jammu and Kashmir government has so far dismissed four employees ‘in the interest of the security of the state.’

These dismissals are being done by invoking the recently passed law that states “that in the interest of the security of the State,” without holding any inquiry the Lieutenant Governor can dismiss any employee with immediate effect.

APHC said that while the people of J-K like the rest of the world are dealing with the deadly virus and daily cases and fatalities are alarmingly rising, those in power in J-K, instead of mitigating people’s sufferings caused by the pandemic , are pursuing such ‘ruthless dismissals.’

“It is most inhuman and cruel to render people jobless in such a manner and at this time by invoking this draconian law .
APHC asks the government to revoke these draconian orders and stop harassing and intimidating the Government employees in this manner.” APHC said in a communique issued here.

APHC also appeals to rights organisations and legal experts to take notice of these draconian measures and provide assistance and remedy to the Government employees of J-K in safeguarding and securing their rights, the statement concluded.
