A joint team of Army’s 28 Rashtriya Rifle and 162 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force besides Special Operations Group personnel “busted a militant hideout” during a cordon and search operation in the forest area of Warnow Lolab in Kupwara district, reported a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS).

Unnamed official sources told the agency that the joint team had launched a cordon-and-search-operation after receiving inputs about suspicious movement in Nawabehak Kawari forest area.

During the course of searches, the team, as per the official recovered a cache of arms and ammunitions in the dense forests.

“The recovered arms and ammunition include Four AK-47 Magazines, 15 rounds of AK-47 ammunition, 2 hand grenades, one each of Binoculars, Compass, wire-cutter, and a map”, the sources added. (GNS)
