Srinagar: The director of Meteorological Department of Jammu and Kashmir, Sonam Lotus has requested people to ensure enough supply of oxygen to homes.
Taking to his Twitter handle, the weathernman said, “A request to all:Open Doors/Windows Frequently to ensure enough supply of oxygen your homes and remain safe. If not it will cause death due to Asphyxiation (Due to Posinous gas Carbon monoxide from your Bukharies/Heaters etc in your home). Ensure proper ventilation and be safe,”
This comes after three family members in north Kashmir’s Pattan area died of suffocation.
Three persons of a family were found dead on Tuesday morning purportedly due to ‘suffocation’ in Nehalpora village of north Kashmir
Reports said that three members of a family identified as Mohammed Maqbool Lone (50) his wife Haseena Begum (45), their son Talib Maqbool (4) were found dead at their home early this morning.
Upon intimation by locals, teams from police and medical department reached the spot upon which bodies of the trio were removed to a hospital for autopsy, reports said.
