Srinagar: On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, senior police officials have greeted people of Jammu and Kashmir on Eid-ul-Fitr on Thursday.

 The Director General of Police in Jammu and Kashmir, Dilbag Singh, and the Inspector General of Police (Kashmir), Vijay Kumar, both have greeted the people of the region a joyful Eid.

As per a statement, “they extended special greetings to the families of [police] martyrs.”

The two senior officers expressed their hope that the festival will bring joy and happiness among the people of Jammu and Kashmir including cops, their families and the families of the police officials who were killed.

Wishing that the festival will bring peace and prosperity to the region, the duo appealed the people to follow the COVID protocol and stressed for collective response to fight the coronavirus. (KNS)
