Srinagar: A day after the attack on a police patrolling party took place in Kishtwar district, Jammu, a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched by the government forces in upper areas of the district on Monday.

Speaking to media, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), DKR range, Abdul Jabbar, said that joint operation of army and police is going on in the area.

“Entire area of Tender in Dachan is under cordon since Monday evening,” said officails.

Jabbar, however, didn’t divulge into any further details. Meanwhile, a wreath laying ceremony was held at District Police Lines Kishtwar on Tuesday morning.

Deputy Inspector General of Police DKR range, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, and senior officers of police, para military and army were also present who paid floral tributes. (KNO)
