Jammu and Kashmir reported 169 new coronavirus cases even as one person succumbed to the virus in last 24 hours, officials said on Sunday.

24 of the new cases were reported from Jammu Division and 145 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall case tally to 325148.

There was one death reported, from Jammu division, due to the pathogen, taking the fatality count to 4407—2166 in Jammu and 2241 in Kashmir, they said.

Providing the district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 65 cases, Baramulla 35, Budgam 20, Pulwama 8, Kupwara 4, Anantnag 4, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 6, Kulgam 1, Shopian 1, Jammu 5, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 2, Doda 13, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 3, Poonch 1, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

A number of cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories at CD hospital and GMC Anantnag.

The CD cases include female (75) from Hassanabad, female (40) from Z C Pampore, female (55) from Bandina Naina, female (26) from Alamgiri Bazar, two females (29, 50) from Zadibal, female (55) from Narwara, female (30) and male (53) from Zadibal, male (24) from Hawal, female (17) from Upper Soura, male (23) and female (30) from Lal Bazar, female (76) from Buchpora, female (28) from Bemina, female (59) from Barzulla, female (60) from Alamgiri Bazar, female (65) from Nowgam Srg, female (40) and male (72) from NA, female (41) from Munwarabad, male (36) from Mandarbagh, male (27) from Pattan, female (35) from Pampore, female (65) from Hassanabad, female (65) from Khanyar, male (43) from Lasjan and two females (19, 5) from Kalashpora.

The GMC Anantnag cases include female (65) from Banihal Ang.

Moreover, the officials told GNS that 103 more COVID-19 patients have recovered—23 from Jammu Division and 80 from the valley. So far, 319465 people have recovered, leaving active cases at 1276— 337 in Jammu and 939 in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today, they said. So far 44 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added. (GNS)
