The family members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) commando who went missing after a Maoist attack in Chattisgarh on Wednesday held a protest demonstration and blocked the Jammu-Akhnoor highway, demanding the safe return of their missing son.

The said CRPF personnel who is a Cobra Commando was part of the team that got engaged in a gunfight with Maoists in Chattisgarh’s Bijapur and is missing since then.

According to a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the family members staged a protest and have blocked Jammu Akhnoor national highway while demanding the safe return of their son.

“We want nothing else than the safe return of our son,” the protesting family members said.

They also appealed for the immediate intervention of the Government of India and Jammu and Kashmir’s LG administration into the matter. (KNO)
