Kupwara Police has seized thirty-nine vehicles plying without proper documents, the majority of which include the vehicles without mandatory Jammu and Kashmir registration.

A police official told a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS) that the drive has been launched after directions received from authorities to make sure that all the vehicles are well-documented and any outside J-K vehicles duly registered with the authorities here.

The official has reiterated that the vehicle owners are asked to complete the re-registration process of vehicles brought from outside J-K at the earliest. “Any such vehicle if not transferred to the current owner besides registered with local ARTO will be seized”, the official said. (GNS)
