A teenage girl hanged herself to death in Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday evening.
Official sources told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a 17-year-old girl (name withheld) hanged herself on Monday evening at her home in Qazigund village following which she was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
“It seems the girl has committed suicide. We have started an investigation to ascertain the actual cause of her death,” official said. (KNO)
