Srinagar: A woman was injured in an attack by a wild bear at Habber Lassipora area of Khag tehsil in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, police said today.

A police official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that 45-year-old Shahzada, wife of Abdul Rashid Shah of Habber Lassipora Mohalla Khag was mauled by a bear, a few metres away from her home, this afternoon.

He said Shahzada was immediately shifted to PHC Khag where doctors referred her to Srinagar hospital for further treatment.

“She was seriously injured and is being treated at Soura Medical Institute,” he added. (KDC)
