Sheikh Noor din Noorani (RA) also known as Nund Rishi, a Sufi saint is one of the founders of the Rishi order – a religious tradition of mystical teaching or spiritual practices – in Kashmir was born in Kulgam district of Kashmir in 1377 AD.

Noorani has been laid to rest at Charar-i-Sharief Budgam, which has been a hotspot for the believers across India as hundreds visit the shrine on daily basis.
