Employees of the Jammu Kashmir Power Development Department (JKPDD) are off work for the past several days against the proposed privatization of the department.
They have also been demanding regularisation of services of daily wager employees besides several other demands. Talks with the employees by authorities did not fructify following which authorities roped in Army on Sunday to restore electricity in the region.
