Watch | ‘Reviving Kashmir’s hand-weaving’: New Craft Centre in Srinagar

In Srinagar, “to revive, promote and protect” Kashmir’s ancient hand-weaving techniques, a Craft Centre has been opened. The centre is using traditional hand techniques to produce the “finest” pashmina in Kashmir. The initiative has been taken to bring sustainable employment opportunities and environment for spinners and weavers whilst also ensuring them decent working conditions and fair wages.
