By turning their signs into sounds, she is assisting the deaf and dumb. A Coda, an acronym, for the Child of Deaf Adults, Imtiyaz explained, “My mother, uncle, and aunt are all deaf and dumb. I was unable to interact with my mother as a child, but as I grew older, I learnt this skill from my uncle.” Working with J-K Sport Association of the Deaf, now she also assists the community in several events.
