Srinagar: Shahid Choudhary, District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, said that a vegetable vendor has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus, “and we are still tracing his all probable contact.”

Mr. Choudhary was replying to a picture of a vendor selling vegetables in Khanyar, Srinagar. He further said, “Imagine the number of homes that could have been affected and are being out under surveillance.”

By far, Jammu and Kashmir has dectected at least 184 positive cases of the virus; among them, four have died. Srinagar district administration was one of first in the country to announce a lockdown to curb the spread of the virus.

The virus has infected more than 6,400 people across the country and nearly 200 have died.
