Hours after fleeing from police station in Baramulla, two accused persons, “affiliates” of Lashker-e-Toiba, were re-arrested in the north Kashmir district on Wednesday evening, officials said.

A top police officer confirmed about the re-arrest of the duo, Maroof Nazir Soleh of Kanlibagh and Shahid Showkat Bala of Banglowbagh.

The duo had managed to escape during Sehri time from the police station. A police officer said that a case has already been registered under relevant sections of law.

The duo had been earlier arrested in connection with a blast on a wine shop in Dewan Bagh in Baramulla last year. (GNS)
