Srinagar: District Development Commissioner Shahid Iqbal Choudhary has tweeted that the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in Srinagar, Kashmir, has been treated successfully.
He tweeted: “Srinagar’s first COVID-19 Positive case successfully treated: Director SKIMS. Let’s #BreakTheChain.”

A 67-year-old woman, who had recently returned from Saudi Arabia, was tested positive for the novel coronavirus on last Wednesday, making it the first confirmed case in Kashmir Valley.
Today, two more persons were tested positive for the virus. In India, there are nearly 500 positive cases and at least 9 have died. Around the world, the virus has infected more than 3,90,000 people, while nearly about 17,000 have died.
