The Mayor of Srinagar, Junaid Azim Mattu issued a snow advisory following the fresh snowfall in Srinagar, on Monday, asking people to avoid moving out unnecessarily.

“SNOW ADVISORY: All non-emergency traffic should avoid venturing out on Srinagar road facilitating snow clearance and also avoiding traffic jams and accidents. For unavoidable commute and travel, please drive slowly and carefully,” tweeted Mattu.  

Snowfall began early on Sunday morning in most parts of Kashmir and continued throughout the night, Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, received snowfall of 13.4cms in the last twenty-four hours till 8:30 am
