Srinagar: A special police officer along with his associate, deployed with a local BJP leader decamped with two weapons from his residence in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, sources said here on Monday.
Sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the SPO along with his associate decamped with two weapons from the residence of BJP leader.
They said that the SPO was on guarding duty during night hours when he decamped with weapons along with associate.
Sources said that an alert had been sounded across the district in this regard.
A senior police official while confirming the incident to Kashmir News Service, (KNS), said that investigation has been launched and further details will be shared accordingly. (KNS)
