An employee of Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) department died after an electric pole fell on him at Watlab area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said.
An official said that an I&FC employee was critically injured after an electric pole fell on him while he was repairing a genset. He was rushed to the sub-district hospital, Sopore where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased was identified as Tanveer Ahmed Bhat (30) son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat of Darpora Delina in Baramulla.
Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the incident, while investigation was taken up. (KNO)
