Police in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district launched a masive drive against stunt bikers.
Several bikers have been fined for various traffic violations while many motorcycles were seized on Sunday.
Official sources said that the police had received information that dozens of bikers were performing stunts on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr on Srinagar-Baramulla highway.
Taking cognizance police stopped dozens of bikers and checked their documents. Most of the bikers were seen without helmets.
“There is a no-toleration policy against all two-wheeler drivers performing stunts thus scaring drivers and pedestrians,” said a senior police officer. (KNT)
