A non-local labourer died due to electrocution in main town Kulgam area in south Kashmir Kulgam district on Sunday.
An official said that a labourer identified as Mosaud Alam , a resident of Bihar was plastering a wall at GDC Kulgam when he came into contact with an electric line that is close to the building of GDC and received fatal shock.
“He was immediately rushed to a nearby DH Kulgam facility where doctors declared him dead on arrival,” he said.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident and started investigation. (KS)
