The Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday virtually inaugurated 100 “Kisan Drones” which would come to aid the country’s farmers.
“Glad to have witnessed Kisan Drones in action at 100 places across the country. This is a commendable initiative by a vibrant start-up,” said the PM in a tweet.
“Innovative technology will empower our farmers and make agriculture more profitable,” he added.
During his virtual address, the PM said that some years ago, the name of drones would make one feel that it is related to the Army or used against the enemies and had confined one’s thinking to that only about the drones.
“But today we are inaugurating Kisan Drone, which is a new chapter for the modern agricultural arrangement,” said Modi.
