Petrol and diesel prices were again hiked on Monday, reported Money Control.
This is the sixth hike in retail oil prices in the last seven days.
There is an increase of 30 paise per litre on petrol and 35 paise per litre on diesel.
After this fresh round of hike, there is an overall increase of Rs 4-4.10 per litre on petrol and diesel.
Petrol in Delhi now costs Rs 99.41 per litre as against Rs 99.11 previously, while diesel price has gone up to Rs 90.77 a litre from Rs 90.42 per litre.
In Mumbai, petrol cost now jumps to Rs 114.19 per litre from Rs 113.88 a litre, and diesel goes up to Rs 98.50 per litre from Rs 98.13 per litre.
In Chennai, petrol is available at Rs 108.18 per litre and diesel for Rs 95.33 per litre. In Kolkata, petrol costs Rs 108.85 per litre and diesel Rs Rs 93.92 per litre.
This revision is based on the average of international benchmark prices over the past 15 days, and state run OMCs – Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd(HPCL) – could revise retail petrol and diesel prices daily.
