PDP youth wing leader Waheed Parra, who was arrested in 2020 and charged under sections of the UAPA for alleged militant links was granted bail on Wednesday.
Talking to The Kashmir Walla, PDP spokesperson confirmed about Parra’s bail.
In a tweet his lawyer Shariq Reyaz said, “Waheed Para granted bail by HC. Order of trial court set aside. Had the onerous duty to lead his defence and argue his bail appeal. Waheed walks out after more than a year in custody.”
PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti said: “Finally after almost two years, Waheed Para gets bail & I hope he walks out as a free man soon. Would like to thank his lawyer Shariq for fighting his case with such conviction & determination.”
