Pakistan Law Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday informed that the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will continue his duties under Article 224 of country’s constitution.
“Federal cabinet has been dissolved and PM Imran will continue his duties under Article 224 of the Constitution,” the Pakistan Law Minister tweeted.
The President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi had dissolved the National Assembly on the proposal of Prime Minister Imran Khan following the rejection of the no-confidence vote against the Imran Khan Administration.
Pakistan Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri rejected the no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister as unconstitutional.
In a short address to the nation after the no-confidence motion was rejected, Imran Khan congratulated all and said that he had sent a proposal to the President to dissolve the National Assembly and the nation should prepare for the next elections.
