Bandipora: The Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday termed the reports of a grenade attack in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district as “fake and baseless”.

In a statement, issued to news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS), Bandipora police said that some media groups are running fake news regarding grenade attack in district Bandipora.

“The news item is baseless, as no such incident has occurred anywhere in the district,” reads the statement.

Bandipora police also appealed all to desist from circulating such false information on various media platforms, otherwise strict action under law will be taken against persons or organisation found involved in such acts. (KNS)
