Government forces on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a militant and three over ground workers (OGWs) in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

An official told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that police along with 9 RR established a naka at Bogund Kulgam road. “During checking, four persons travelling in a vehicle were apprehended by the search party.”

He said one among them was identified as a ‘militant’ Zeyan Ahmad Dar from Baramulla, who was missing from Shopian religious seminary since last month while three others are OGWs.

The trio associates were identified as Zahid Nazir, Umer Yousuf and Muzafar Ahmed—all from south Kashmir’s Shopian district, he said, adding that the outfit affiliation is being ascertained. (KNO)
