One more passenger succumbed to injures while on way to district hospital Kishtwar taking the death to six following a road accident in Keshwan area of district Kishtwar.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma said that five people died on the spot while one is being shifted to hospital.
Meanwhile, SSP Kishtwar Shafqat Hussain said that the sixth one died on the way to the hospital.
The deceased people include Mohammad Arkhan,29, Abdul Rehman, 29 , Abdul Lateef 42, Ata Mohammad, 22 , Inam, 45 , and 18 year old Zameer
Meanwhile, police and army personnel from 26 RR immediately rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
