Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA) on Thursday asked the Valley-based Imams to deliver special lectures on the rising social evils.
“We impress upon the imams of the Valley to deliver special lectures on Fridays for the eradication of social evils prevalent in our society,” JKHCBA press statement said.
The statement said that a meeting of JKHCBA Executive Committee was held today. “We denounce and condemn the brutal act of these unscrupulous persons who attacked the girl with acid,” it said.
JKHBCA said that the timely action of the concerned police in nabbing the culprits must be appreciated.
“We expect that the culprits would be dealt strictly and brought to justice in accordance with law,” the JKHCBA said.
They also expressed sympathy with the acid attack survivor and prayed for her early recovery.
