A court in Delhi has sent human rights activist Khurram Parvez and former National Investigation Agency (NIA) Superintendent of Police (SP) Arvind Digvijay Negi among others to judicial custody for a month, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported on Friday.

The PTI report said that the Special Judge Parveen Singh sent the accused persons to jail till March 24.

The accused were produced before the court on expiry of their custodial interrogation by NIA.

The NIA had arrested the former NIA SP Negi for allegedly leaking secret documents to an Over Ground Worker (OGW) of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT).

The case was filed under various Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The NIA had alleged that the accused had been running a network of LeT OGWs and recruited persons across India.
