Srinagar: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said that the “indigenous Kashmiri resistance against Indian occupation is the direct consequence of India’s oppression and brutalisation of Kashmiris.”
Khan wrote on his Twitter that India was leveling “baseless allegations” against Pakistan to find a pretext for a false flag operation targeting the country. “I have been warning the world about India’s continuing efforts to find a pretext for a false flag operation targeting Pakistan,” he wrote. “Latest baseless allegations by India of ‘infiltration’ across LoC are a continuation of this dangerous agenda.”
He further added that the international community must act before India’s reckless moves jeopardise peace and security in South Asia. “The Indigenous Kashmiri resistance against Indian Occupation is a direct consequence of India’s oppression and brutalisation of Kashmiris. The fascist policies of the RSS-BJP combine are fraught with serious risks. The international community must act before India’s reckless moves jeopardise peace and security in South Asia,” he tweeted.
Khan’s statement comes on a day when government forces killed Hizbul Mujahideen chief Riyaz Naikoo in a gunfight in south Kashmir.
