The government of Joe Biden, expected to take over the United States of America as the next president, has selected another Kashmir born expert on his team. Sameera Fazili will be Biden’s Deputy Director of the National Economic Council. In the Biden regime, Fazili will focus on manufacturing, innovation, and domestic competition.
This is the second appointment of a Kashmir-born expert under the United States regime of Biden-Kamala. Biden selected a young Kashmir-born woman, Aishah Shah, as one of the main functionaries in the Digital Strategy Team of his White House at the end of the year 2020.
Fazili started her career as a clinical lecturer at Yale Law School. She is also a graduate of Yale Law School at Harvard College. Fazili is originally from Buffalo but lives in Georgia now, with her husband and three children.
Prior to her role in Biden’s rule, Fazili was at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta where she served as a Director of an engagement or the community and economic development. She also worked at the Treasury Department in both Domestic Finance and International Affairs, and then as a senior adviser to the undersecretary for international affairs where she was chief of staff.
