Srinagar: Following a specific input, Awantipora Police along with the government forces arrested an active militant, affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammad in Tral, south Kashmir.

According to a statement issued here, the joint party of police and governemnt forces apprehended the militant, Abdul Rashid Dar, a resident of Satura Tral.

The police said that arms and ammunition including, an AK rifle, 5 AK maganizes, 150 AK rounds, 3 Chinese grenades, 2 cell phones, and other incriminating materials were recovered from the militant’s possession.

A case FIR No. 40/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Tral and further investigation into the matter has been initiated. (KNO)
