Jammu and Kashmir reported 440 fresh covid-19 cases while one person succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Sunday.
They said, 276 of the cases were reported from Jammu Division and 164 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 450771.
Regarding the lone fatality, the officials said that it was reported from Jammu division. So far 4745 persons have succumbed to the virus, 2323 in Jammu and 2422 in Kashmir.
Besides, they said, 1228 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time.
Also 440560 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 5466, 2287 in Jammu and 3179 in Kashmir.
A number of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories associated with GMC, Srinagar and GMC Annatnag.
They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today.
So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.
They also informed that 23,903 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K. (GNS)
