The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered promotion of two senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of Jammu and Kashmir cadre to Director-General of Police rank, reported a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

The agency reported that an order of the Ministry of Home Affairs has promoted Laltendu Mohanty and Dr. B. Srinivas to DGP rank with effect from 01.01.2019 and 01.01.2020 respectively. (KNO)
