Around 300-meter portion of a link road in Ramban district has sunk due to incessant rains, disconnecting at least five Panchayat blocks of Gandhri from District headquarters, officials said on Friday.

Official said that the portion of Kanga-Gandhri-Bhatni road caved in late Thursday afternoon amid incessant rains.

Station House Office (SHO) has urged people not to move through the area as the portion is still sinking.

“The people are requested not to move through the road till the restoration work is taken up,” he said. (GNS)
