A 45-hour long Cordon and Search Operation that was launched in Panipora Village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district in the wee hours of Wednesday ended Thursday evening.
 
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that on specific inputs about the presence of militants, a joint team of forces including 9 RR, 18Bn CRPF, and Kulgam Police ring-fenced Panipora and carried out door-to-door search operation.
 
“After conducting searches for around 45-hours, nothing was found in the area and search operation ended peacefully on Friday evening,” he said.
 
Locals said that only students and elders were allowed to come out and movement of general public was restricted to their compounds despite it being the peak season for fruit trees’ pruning—(KNO)
