Srinagar : A gunfight between militants and government forces broke out in Mouchuwa area of central Kashmir’s Budgam area on Tuesday.

Reports said that a joint team of Srinagar Police, Budgam Police and army’s 50RR launched a cordon and search operation in Mouchwa.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.

A senior police officer also confirmed to GNS about exchange of firing between militants and forces.

As per the sources two JeM militants believed to be trapped.

Pertinently, this is second gunfight of this week, yesterday one militant was killed, while another surrendered in South Kashmir’s Tral.(GNS)
