Srinagar: Air traffic resumed after four days while the Jammu-Srinagar highway, the only surface connecting Kashmir Valley with the outside world remained closed, on Thursday.
“All facilities have been restored and flight operations have been resumed after a heavy snowfall, it is the result of many agencies worked proactively amid extreme weather,” said a senior traffic department official.
“Jammu-Srinagar highway is still blocked at Samrolli , Nashree, Cafeteria Morh, Seri, Marog and Jawahar Tunnel,” traffic police said. Thousands of vehicles, mostly carrying supplies to Kashmir, are stuck at several places along the highway. (GNS)
