Poonch: A seventeen-year-old boy has “inadvertently” crossed the Line of Control in the Poonch district of Jammu and his family issued an appeal on Monday to Pakistani authorities to release him.

The family of the teenager who studies in the tenth standard told a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS) that Mohammad Shabir of Mandhar’s Kaaiyan village crossed the LoC.

The family said that a missing report has been filed in police Station Poonch. “We request authorities to release our son,” Mohammad Bashir, father of the teenager said.

The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Poonch Ramesh Angral said that the matter has been taken up with the higher authorities. (GNS)
